1. Gratitude
Whilst searching for a great gift for dad, people often overlook the essence of what Father’s Day is all about...gratitude. It’s easy to take dad for granted, but Father’s Day is the perfect opportunity to apologise for all those silly arguments and misunderstandings and instead thank him for being a wonderful dad.
2. Give dad a day off
If you have a dad that never stops, why not give him a day off? Allow him to sit back and relax while you pitch in and take over his ‘to do list’ for the day; whether it’s washing the car, taking the dog for a walk or cutting the grass, he’ll be delighted to enjoy a well-deserved day off!
3. Make a List
Why not make his day by telling him exactly why he’s a fantastic dad! Make a list of all the things you love about your father or your favourite memories together – what a simple but original idea!
4. Play a Sport
Most of us women can’t stand watching football let alone playing it, but what a fun and unique way to show dad how much you care – it’s the last thing he’ll expect for fathers day! But if the thought of putting on joggers and trainers is almost bringing on a fever, you could always bring the games indoors with a round of cards or a game chess...
5. Learn a skill
What does dad do best? All fathers’ love to pass on their tricks of the trade. A great way to bond with dad is to get him to teach you a skill! Whether it’s changing a tire or finally learning the offside rule, (good luck with that girls) this is a great opportunity for some father-daughter bonding.
